11th Edition of the All-Ukrainian Webinar “Modern Trends in Social Work”

On April 22, at the initiative of the Social Pedagogy Department of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University, another edition of the All-Ukrainian webinar series “Modern Trends in Social Work” was held.

The 11th issue was dedicated to an important and relevant topic – gender competence of social work professionals.

The webinar was attended by social workers, scientists, students, representatives of public organizations and everyone interested in improving the quality of social assistance by implementing the principles of gender equality in practice. From Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University, students majoring in  231 “Social Work” under the educational program “Social Work. Social Pedagogy. Practical Psychology” participated.

The speakers of the event were representatives of the Department of Social Pedagogy and Social Work of Borys Grinchenko Kyiv Metropolitan University: lecturer, postgraduate student Iryna NOKHRINA, as well as Candidate of Sociological Sciences, Associate Professor Olha SHVED, who told the participants with the experience of researching gender approaches in social work and modern tools for supporting vulnerable categories of the population.

The event was held in a warm professional atmosphere, was marked by a high level of activity of participants, lively discussions and exchange of practical cases.
