1st International Scientific and Practical Conference named after Volodymyr Repkin

On April 17-18, the 1st (historical) International Scientific and Practical Conference named after Volodymyr Repkin “Psychological and Pedagogical Foundations of Developmental Learning: Theory, Practice, Prospects” was held at the Psychology Department.

The conference gained wide international scientific significance, as the event was attended and organized by scientists from the following countries: Brazil (Roberto Valdes Puentes – Professor at the Federal University of Uberlandia), Germany (Larysa Didkovska – Candidate of Psychological Sciences, Professor, Rector of the Ukrainian Free University, Munich), Greece (Oksana Kozii – Head of the Ukrainian Cultural and Educational Center “Berehynia”, Athens), Poland (Lidiia Zablotska-Zhytka – Phd, Vice-Rector for International Cooperation of the Maria Grzegorzewska Academy of Special Pedagogy, Warsaw, Barbara Skalbania – Professor, Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences of the Janusz Korczak Pedagogical University, Warsaw).

The conference was also joined by scientists from Georgia and Portugal.

In addition to the international scientific community, the Volodymyr Repkin Conference was represented by a wide range of Ukrainian organizers and respected scientists, including:

Nataliia Yevhenivna Zavatska – Doctor of Psychological Sciences, Professor, Honored Worker of Science and Technology of Ukraine, Head of the Department of Practical Psychology and Social Work of the Volodymyr Dahl East Ukrainian National University;

Inessa Antonivna Hulias – Doctor of Psychological Sciences, Professor, Professor of the Department of Practical Psychology of the Yuriy Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University;

Yurii Mykhailovych Shvalb – Doctor of Psychological Sciences, Professor, Professor of the Social Work Department of the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, Chief Researcher of the Institute of Psychology of the G. S. Kostyuk of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine;

Olena Anatoliivna Perepelytsyna – Candidate of Philosophical Sciences, Deputy Director for Scientific and Methodological Work of the National Center for Educational and Scientific Research “Developmental Education”, Kharkiv;

Nadiia Petrivna Sosnytska – Senior Lecturer in the Developmental Education Section of the Department of Preschool and Primary Education Methodology of the Higher Educational and Scientific Research Institute “Kharkiv Academy of Continuing Education”.

The purpose of the conference was to scientifically and practically substantiate the development of the developmental education system in the context of external and internal challenges of psychological science; discuss trends and prospects for the development of education and science in modern realities; preserve, generalize and develop the innovative psychological and pedagogical heritage of Vladimir Repkin in the context of implementing the developmental education system.

The organizers of the 1st International Scientific and Practical Conference named after Volodymyr Repkin “Psychological and Pedagogical Foundations of Developmental Education: Theory, Practice, Prospects” have far-sighted intentions to make the event an annual one in order to popularize representatives of the Ukrainian psychological school.
