Working Visit to the Sanatorium “Slavutych”

On the way to new horizons of cooperation: a working visit of the Department of Rehabilitation and Medical Diagnostics to the sanatorium “Slavutych”.

In April 2025, an important working visit of representatives of the Department of Rehabilitation and Medical Diagnostics of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Health and Sports of the Taras Shevchenko Luhansk National University took place to one of the leading specialized medical and health-improving institutions of Ukraine – the B.V. Pashkovsky Sanatorium “Slavutych”, located in the Dnipropetrovsk region.

The purpose of the visit was to establish effective cooperation between the university and the sanatorium and resort institution, exchange professional experience, as well as sign a partnership agreement that opens up new opportunities for students and scientists of the university in the field of medical diagnostics, physical therapy and rehabilitation.

The “Slavutych” Sanatorium is a multidisciplinary institution with a modern base and significant practical experience. Since 2021, it has become the first in Ukraine among sanatoriums and resorts to begin providing medical services in accordance with the medical guarantees program of the National Health Service of Ukraine. The facility provides full rehabilitation care both in inpatient and outpatient settings for adults and children. The patients of the sanatorium are people recovering from strokes, heart attacks, nervous system lesions, diseases of the musculoskeletal system, as well as after injuries of varying complexity.

The Chief Physician Ihor Borysovych Pashkovskyi and Medical Director Danylo Andriiovych Yarmolenko gave the guests a tour of the facility, introduced them to treatment procedures, physical therapy technologies, and modern equipment. Innovative approaches to rehabilitation, which are actively used in the practical activities of the sanatorium’s specialists, attracted particular attention.

During the meeting, the issues of the possibility of internships for students of LTSNU, conducting scientific research, joint participation in professional forums, conferences and other events aimed at the development of medical science and the implementation of effective rehabilitation methods were discussed.

The visit took place in a warm, partnership atmosphere that inspires fruitful cooperation. The Department of Rehabilitation and Medical Diagnostics expresses sincere gratitude to the administration of the sanatorium “Slavutych” for their hospitality, openness to cooperation and desire for joint development of medical education and practice.

The common goal – to help people restore their health – unites the university and medical institutions, and this cooperation is a step towards creating an effective system for training highly qualified specialists in the field of health care.
