International Environmental Knowledge Day

April 15 — International Day of Environmental Knowledge: Together for the Preservation of the Planet.
Every year on April 15, the world celebrates International Day of Environmental Knowledge — a date designed to remind humanity of the importance of awareness of the state of the environment, the need for its protection and sustainable development. On this day, specialists in the field of ecology and natural sciences pay special attention to the dissemination of knowledge about nature, resources and ways to overcome environmental threats.
The Educational and Research Institute of Natural and Agrarian Sciences of LTSNU continues this mission with dignity. After all, it is here that deep professional foundations are laid for the training of future specialists who will be able to make informed decisions in the field of environmental protection, work for sustainable development, improve the quality of life and preserve the natural wealth of Ukraine.
Ecological knowledge is not only about theory, it is a whole interdisciplinary layer, which includes: biology, chemistry, agronomy, forestry and horticulture, ecology, Earth sciences, etc.
That is why the ER INAS not only teaches, but it forms environmental awareness, draws attention to environmental problems and participates in their solution. Students are involved in research, environmental protection, volunteer and educational activities, which cover not only Luhansk or Poltava regions, but also have all-Ukrainian significance.
On this day, the Educational and Research Institute of Natural and Agrarian Sciences calls on everyone to:
- Deepen knowledge about nature and its laws;
- Take care of the environment in daily actions;
- Be responsible to future generations. Because only an environmentally conscious society is able to preserve life in harmony with nature!
