The students of LTSNU are some of the best athletes of the Luhansk region.

According to the old tradition, the Cup of Luhansk region in athletics was held in mid-May in the city of Kreminna. These competitions were the selection stage of the strongest athletes for participation in the Ukrainian Championship.

Students of the Institute of Physical Education and Sports of LTSNU attended the competition.

Champions among juniors were Ruslan Kordik (I course “Physical Education”) in 400 meters dash and Oleksandr Bazaley (I course “Physical Education”) in the shot put. Among adults athletes the victory was taken by Victoria Trehleb (I course “Physical Education”) in 3,000 meter run and Denyak Maxim (ІI course “Physical Education”) in 400 meters dash.

Especially we should note Lydia Matviichuk (III Course “Physical Education”) and Snizhana Porokhnya (IV Course “Physical Education”), who have won three kinds of each program.
