Webinar “PTSD. Modern Approaches to Treatment”

On April 8, an online webinar was held on the topic “PTSD. Modern Approaches to Treatment” – an exchange of international experience in the field of mental health.

The online webinar brought together specialists in the field of mental health, social work, psychology, medicine and all those interested in effective strategies for overcoming post-traumatic stress disorder.

The event was lectured by Dr. Israel Liberzon, Head of the Psychiatry Department at Texas A&M College of Medicine (USA), a well-known researcher in the field of psychiatry and neuroscience.

During the webinar, participants learned about: modern approaches to diagnosing and treating PTSD; the results of recent research in the field of psychiatry; practical algorithms for helping people who have experienced traumatic events.

The event was held in English with simultaneous translation into Ukrainian, which ensured the accessibility of the material to a wide audience.

The event was attended by over 600 participants from all over Ukraine, which indicates a high level of interest in the topic and the need for professional support.

Teachers of the Social Pedagogy Department of our university, postgraduate students, as well as first and second level higher education students majoring in “Social Work” under the educational program “Social Work. Social Pedagogy. Practical Psychology” actively participated in the webinar.

Professional dialogue with an international expert allowed Ukrainian specialists to expand their knowledge of PTSD, discuss difficulties in treatment practice, and find new guidelines for the further development of psychosocial support in the war and post-war period.

We sincerely thank all participants for their active participation, and the lecturer for his deep and meaningful speech!
