Guest Lecture on the Experience of Oschadbank in Wartime

The Department of Finance, Accounting and Banking joined a guest lecture on the experience of Oschadbank during the war.

At the initiative of the Department of Finance, Accounting and Analysis of the Institute of Spatial Planning and Advanced Technologies of Lviv Polytechnic National University, a guest lecture was given on the topic “Financing Business in Martial Law”, which was conducted by Marina Stranatko, Head of the Lending Department of the Lviv Regional Department of JSC “OSCHADBANK”. The lecture was also attended by representatives of the Department of Finance, Accounting and Banking Viktor Trynchuk, Olena Boiko, Yulia Butenko and students of the Educational and Research Institute of Business and Management of LTSNU.

During the event, the audience received thorough information about modern financial instruments to support small and medium-sized businesses offered by JSC “OSCHADBANK”. In particular, the key areas were highlighted:

  • Preferential lending under the state program 5-7-9%;
  • Guarantees of the Government of Ukraine and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development;
  • Grant support from the state and international financial organizations;
  • The bank’s partner programs for financing energy projects;
  • Financial support for veterans under the Business 4.5.0 program;
  • Lending to exporters in cooperation with the Export Credit Agency;
  • Loan insurance.

Marina Stranatko explained in detail the mechanisms for obtaining financing, key requirements for borrowers and the features of implementing these programs under martial law. She also shared practical cases of successful lending to enterprises, which allowed the audience to see real examples of effective use of financial resources.

The participants were particularly interested in the statistics, according to which 90% of business loans are provided on preferential terms. This indicates active state support for entrepreneurs aimed at developing the economy in difficult conditions.

Teachers and students can use the presentation materials provided by the speaker in the educational process when studying economic and financial disciplines. They will be useful not only for analyzing real financial mechanisms, but also for preparing students for practical activities in the field of finance, banking and insurance.

We sincerely thank Ms. Maryna Stranatko for the informative presentation of the material, interesting practical examples and answers to the questions of the students. We also express our gratitude to the organizers of the event for the opportunity to gain relevant knowledge about business financing in modern conditions.
