Guest Lecture “Insurance Company as a Financial Institution”

Representatives of the Department of Finance, Accounting and Banking, together with students, participated in the guest lecture “Insurance Company as a Financial Institution.”
On April 2, 2025, representatives of the Department of Finance, Accounting and Banking of the Taras Shevchenko Luhansk National University, the Department of Finance, Banking and Insurance of the Bila Tserkva National Agrarian University, the Department of Finance of the National University of Food Technologies, together with students, joined the guest lecture “Insurance Company as a Financial Institution”.
The event was organized by our partners and colleagues from the Department of Banking and Insurance of the Vadym Hetman Kyiv National Economic University (KNEU), and the lecturer was Vyacheslav Chernyakhovsky, General Director of the Insurance Business Association.
His lecture covered key aspects of the functioning of insurance companies, including:
- The role of insurance companies in the financial system: insurance institutions are not only a mechanism for compensating for losses, but also a tool for risk management, investment and capital formation.
- The interaction of insurers with banks and other financial institutions, which contributes to economic stability.
- Innovative insurance products and market development prospects under martial law.
- Regulatory challenges and opportunities for strengthening the position of the insurance sector in the country’s economy.
