Education and Patriotism – a Step Towards Victory!

Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University continues its active activities in the field of patriotic education and career guidance.

Together with the Charity Fund “Honor and Conscience”, headed by Oksana Kanevska, as well as the chief military expert of the National Medical Chamber of Ukraine, the head of the union of veterans of the ATO and law enforcement agencies of Ukraine “Shield of the Motherland”, a combat officer, Colonel Viacheslav Vasiliev, an important visit to the educational institution was made.

This time they visited the Gymnasium named after the Hero of Ukraine Vira Roik of the Lubny City Council. The event was aimed at educating young people in the spirit of patriotism, raising awareness of the heroic struggle of our people for freedom, as well as helping students choose their future profession.

The head of the Charity Foundation “Honor and Conscience” Oksana Kanevska addressed the students with a penetrating speech in which she emphasized the importance of the heroism and courage of Ukrainian soldiers. She thanked the high school volunteers for their active participation in supporting the Armed Forces of Ukraine, for donations, humanitarian aid, letters and drawings that inspire our defenders to fight for the future of the country.

The colonel Viacheslav Vasiliev focused on the youth serving in the ranks of the State Border Service of Ukraine, spoke about its features and importance in the national security system. He paid special attention to the popularization of the profession of drone operator. After all, modern military operations require highly qualified specialists who can control unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), prepare them for flight and effectively use them in combat conditions.

An important block of the meeting was career guidance work. The executive secretary of the university admissions committee, Viktoriia Volodavchyk, emphasized in her speech that education is not only the key to a successful future, but also an extremely powerful weapon in the fight against the enemy. She noted that for the production of modern UAVs, mastery of tactical medicine, knowledge of military affairs, the ability to navigate the terrain and even the basic use of weapons, high-quality education is necessary. That is why Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University invites graduates of the Hero of Ukraine Vira Roik Gymnasium to study.

During the meeting, she spoke in detail about the structure of the university, the variety of specialties, the conditions of the 2025 admission campaign and the prospects for further employment. Future applicants received information booklets and had the opportunity to ask questions about studying at LTSNU.

The event was held in a friendly and positive atmosphere, full of inspiration, motivation and the desire to act for the good of Ukraine. The participants emphasized that only by uniting will we achieve victory, and every contribution to the development of education, patriotic upbringing and support for our defenders is a step towards a bright future. Together we are invincible!
