LTSNU and Partners: United for Career Guidance and Patriotic Education
4.4.2025
Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University has once again proven that education, patriotism and volunteerism go hand in hand.
As part of its career guidance and patriotic and educational work, LNU joined forces with the Charitable Foundation “Honor and Conscience” represented by its head Oksana Kanevska and the chief military expert of the National Medical Chamber of Ukraine, the head of the union of veterans of the ATO and law enforcement agencies of Ukraine “Shield of the Motherland”, a combat officer, Colonel Viacheslav Vasiliev. In such a powerful tandem, they visited the “PROSVIT” gymnasium of the Lubny City Council.
The Colonel Viacheslav Vasiliev, as part of his patriotic education of young people, popularized service in the ranks of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine. He told students about the importance of defending the Motherland, about the courage with which soldiers stand on the front line, and about the responsibility that every citizen bears before their country. His words became a motivating impetus for many students to think about how they can help Ukraine today.
The head of the Charity Foundation “Honor and Conscience” Oksana Kanevska shared with the students stories about the heroism of our defenders, told about the tireless work of the foundation and volunteers who bring victory closer every day. She expressed sincere gratitude to everyone who supports the military — and especially to the teachers and students of the gymnasium for their active participation in charitable initiatives. A particularly touching moment was the gratitude for the drawings for our defenders. Children’s works are a symbol of hope and inspiration for those who defend our land.
Executive Secretary of the Admissions Committee Viktoriia Volodavchyk urged graduates to choose Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University to get a quality education. She emphasized that victory requires not only courage and weapons, but also high technologies, science, and education. “Even to create drones, deep knowledge is needed. Study, choose your path, and become part of the intellectual front!” she emphasized. Victoria Volodavchyk introduced the students to the list of specialties of the university, the features of the 2025 admission campaign, distributed information booklets and answered all the questions of the graduates.
The meeting was extremely rich, motivating and filled with positive emotions. The students of the “PROSVIT” gymnasium of the LMR received not only valuable information, but also a charge of inspiration, self-confidence and a desire to be useful to their country. The joint efforts of educators, military personnel and volunteers once again proved: only together, supporting each other, we can achieve Victory.
Together we are strong! Together we are invincible! Glory to Ukraine!
