Meeting with the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Ukraine in Japan

Students of the educational program “Language and Literature (Japanese, English)” and their teachers participated in a meeting with the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Ukraine in Japan.
On March 26, 2025, the guarantor of the educational program “Language and Literature (Japanese, English)” and students of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University had a unique opportunity to meet Ukraine’s Ambassador in Japan, Serhiy Korsunskyi. This event was organized by the Faculty of Management and Marketing of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute. It was an excellent chance to learn more about modern diplomacy and Ukraine-Japan relations firsthand.
The ambassador shared insights into Japan’s post-World War II recovery experience, which could be beneficial for Ukraine. He also provided fascinating details about the Japanese mentality and the nuances of communication in Japanese. The speech was packed with information about Japan’s economic features, noting that many Asian countries, including South Korea and Vietnam, have adopted Japan’s economic system. Additionally, participants received information about Japanese government programs supporting Ukrainians affected by the war.
Japan is a country with a rich history and unique experience.
Overall, Mr. Serhiy covered various aspects of Ukraine-Japan relations, from economics and education to culture and diplomacy, allowing participants to gain valuable information and better understand the prospects for cooperation between the two countries.
