Portrait Painting as Art

The 2nd year students of the Department of Fine and Decorative Arts of the Educational and Research Institute of Arts immersed themselves in the world of portrait painting.

During their studies, they master the technique of depicting the human face, working on creating portraits in various pictorial styles and manners.

Under the guidance of an experienced teacher, painter, graphic artist, member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine Oleksii Sobolevskyi, students not only improve their skills, but also learn to convey the emotional state and character of the model through color, light and shadow. The teacher carefully monitors their progress, helps to correct mistakes, analyze the composition and select the appropriate color scheme.

The atmosphere in the classrooms is filled with inspiration and creativity. Each student has the opportunity to show their own style and experiment with techniques, which is an integral part of the development of a young artist. The picturesque portraits they work on will become part of future exhibitions and creative reports of the department.

The Department of Fine and Decorative Arts of LTSNU continues to educate a new generation of talented artists who are able to convey the beauty and depth of human nature through art. There are still many interesting discoveries, new experiments and impressive works of art ahead!
