Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University and Caritas Lubny joined forces for social support of the community. 

On March 20, 2025, a significant event took place for the development of social initiatives in the Lubny urban territorial community – a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between the Charitable Organization “Parochial Charitable Foundation “Caritas Lubny” and the State Institution “Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University”.

The main goal of this Memorandum is to combine the efforts of the two institutions for the effective implementation of a pilot project to introduce a comprehensive social service for the formation of resilience. This means that within the framework of cooperation, new opportunities will be created for psychological support, social adaptation and improving the quality of life of community residents.

When signing the document, the parties emphasized the importance of such a partnership. Rector Olena KARAMAN emphasized that the university has always been and remains not only an educational center, but also an institution that actively promotes social initiatives, supports people in difficult life circumstances and develops various areas of psychological assistance.

The cooperation between Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University and the Caritas Lubny Foundation opens up new prospects in social work, providing an opportunity to implement modern methods of supporting the population, in particular internally displaced persons, veterans, and people experiencing crisis situations.

This initiative is another step towards building a strong social system, where every resident of the Lubny community will be able to receive the necessary assistance and support. Luhansk  Taras Shevchenko National University continues to expand the horizons of cooperation, contributing to the creation of a sustainable society in which everyone has the opportunity to develop and find ways to a successful future.
