First Stage of the All-Ukrainian Student Olympiad

On March 12, the Department of Olympic and Professional Sports hosted the first Stage of the All-Ukrainian Student Olympiad in the specialty A7 “Physical Culture and Sports” with the subject “Theory and Methods of Sports Training”.

The objectives of the Olympiad are to increase the interest of students in in-depth study of the OK “Theory and Methods of Sports Training”; determine the level of mastery of the necessary knowledge and skills in the field of physical culture and sports; promote a healthy lifestyle among young people; identify promising future specialists oriented to professions in the field of physical culture and sports.

The Olympiad program included three competitive tests: testing knowledge in the discipline “Theory and Methods of Sports Training”; analysis of an educational and training session; theoretical task in the form of a round table, where it was necessary to express one’s thoughts and provide practical recommendations on the problem posed in the form of a speech.

Based on the results of three competitions, the winners of the Olympiad were determined. The winner was Viktor Bezgubenko, a 1st year student of the second (master’s) level (scientific supervisor O.D. Shynkareva), the second place was taken by Vladyslav Losev, a 1st year student of the second (master’s) level (scientific supervisor – A.O. Omelchenko), the third place was taken by Volodymyr Naumenko, a 3rd year student (scientific supervisor – G.V. Tolcheva).
