Successful Cooperation Between Departments

A successful cooperation took place between the Department of Primary Education and the Department of Early Childhood and Preschool Development.

As part of the interdisciplinary approach to the training of future teachers, a binary lecture on the topic “Introducing Preschool and Primary School Children to Paper” was held at the Educational and Research Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology of LTSNU, which was jointly conducted by the teachers of the Department of Primary Education, Associate Professor Oksana TSALAPOVA, and the Department of Early and Preschool Child Development, Associate Professor Iryna GRECHYSHKINA. During the lecture, 1st-year students majoring in “Preschool Education” and “Primary Education” learned:

• about the features of introducing preschool and primary school children to the properties and types of paper;
• how to integrate research, practical and game methods into the educational process;
• about the environmental aspects of working with paper.

The lecture combined theoretical material with practical advice on organizing classes and lessons, which will help students effectively apply the knowledge gained in their professional activities.

In addition to the theoretical part, the students had the opportunity to apply their knowledge in practice, creating their own crafts using the quilling technique. This method not only develops fine motor skills in children, but also contributes to the development of creative thinking and attention of the child.
