Professor of LTSNU is the Initiator of Support for Combatants

Professor of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University Petro Vorona initiated support for the participants in the hostilities.

The Professor of the Social Pedagogy Department of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University Petro Vorona, who is currently stationed in Poltava, using his own combat experience, became the organizer of a union that helps solve legal, social, everyday and other problems of combatants.

On his initiative, a round table meeting was held in the Main Department, organized by the public association “Defense of the State”. The event discussed problematic issues of servicing former and current servicemen. Daria Khrystenko, head of the specialized department of the Pension Fund of Ukraine, joined the discussion remotely.

Petro Vasylovych addressed the head of the Main Department with a proposal to involve the heads of the Fund’s service centers in the meeting in order to solve the problems of veterans as effectively as possible.

During his speech, he emphasized the importance of the correct approach to communicating with the military. He described the causes and consequences of post-traumatic stress disorder, and also gave professional recommendations on how to work with combatants who risked their lives for Ukraine.

In an interview for the publication “Zoria Poltavshchyny”, Petro Vorona said: “When everyone does everything possible for victory, then it will come!”.
