«White Listivka Donbass»: Meeting with the prominent Ukrainian poetess Hanna Haivoronska  

On March 4, 2025, the Department of Literary Studies, Eastern Philology and Translation of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Philology and Journalism held a meeting with the prominent Ukrainian poetess Hanna Haivoronska. The meeting was dedicated to the International Writer Day.

The head of the department Olha Kryzhanovska and students Sofiia Nedohybchenko, Vladyslav Nekrut, undergraduate Kostiantyn Valente, graduate student Anton Kozlov told about the life and work of Hanna Haivoronska  read the works of the poet. Hanna Haivoronska is the author of the legendary words: «Luhansk – dawn of Ukraine». Hanna Haivoronska heads the organization of the National Union of Writers of Ukraine of Luhansk region, is the author of 14 books.

The organizers represented works from the poetic book in 2024 «I want to go home». In the second part of the meeting, Hanna Haivoronska mentioned her activity in Ukrainian Luhansk, cooperation with our university, told about her tragic life during a full – scale invasion of Ukraine. We thank Hanna Haivoronska for a warm conversation and are waiting for new meetings.
