International Mother Language Day at the Primary Education Department
24.2.2025
On February 21, the Primary Education Department and the students of the ER IPP together celebrated the International Mother Language Day.
During classes in various disciplines, teachers congratulated students and presented interesting facts about the history of the holiday. They emphasized that International Mother Language Day was proclaimed at the XXX session of the UNESCO General Conference.
In this difficult time, it is necessary to remember that our native language, Ukrainian, is recognized as one of the most beautiful: it ranks second in the world in melodiousness (after Italian) and third in the beauty of vocabulary (after French and Persian). And these are not simple words, but confirmed facts.
Students majoring in “Primary Education”, “Primary Education. Ukrainian Language and Literature” (bachelor’s and master’s levels of education) quoted poetry, recalled sayings about the native language, considered the Ukrainian language in numbers, etc.
The importance of language in times of war has become even more significant, as it unites people, forms national identity and demonstrates our resilience in the face of challenges.
LET’S PROTECT, RESPECT, TREAT, AND LEARN OUR NATIVE LANGUAGE!
