Development Strategy of Luhansk Oblast

The Director of the Institute of Social and Humanitarian Sciences joined the working group on the development of the Development Strategy of Luhansk Oblast.

On February 17, 2025, a meeting of the working group on the development of drafts of the Luhansk Oblast Development Strategy and action plans for its implementation was held. The group was joined by the director of the Educational and Research Institute of Social and Humanitarian Sciences, Doctor of Political Sciences, Professor Anton Bader. The event was held in a mixed format under the chairmanship of Artem Lysohor, Head of the Luhansk Oblast State Administration and Head of the Regional Military Administration. The meeting was also attended by the First Deputy Head of the Regional State Administration Oleksii Smyrnov, Deputy Head of the Regional State Administration Kateryna Bezginska, heads of departments, experts and members of the working group.

During the meeting, the features and main trends of strategic planning for the development of the Luhansk Oblast were considered, the results of a survey of group members on the feasibility of updating the current Regional Development Strategy for 2021–2027, and the key stages of developing a new strategic document for the restoration and development of the region were identified.

The Professor Bader, as an expert in the field of political issues, joined the discussion on the political and social aspects of the development of the Luhansk region and possible scenarios for its recovery. His participation in the working group will contribute to the consideration of scientific approaches and interdisciplinary analysis during the development of strategic documents. As a result of the meeting, further steps were identified and discussed in terms of forming a roadmap for the development of the Luhansk region, as well as mechanisms for its implementation in the conditions of post-war recovery.
