17.2.2025
A lecture by Anton Bader, Doctor of Political Sciences, Professor, Director of the Educational and Research Institute of Social and Humanitarian Sciences, was held in the city of Lubny.
The event brought together students and sparked a lively scientific discussion. The topic of the lecture – “The Impact of Coup d’état on the Political Process” – is extremely relevant in the context of modern political transformations. In his report, Professor Bader revealed the theoretical foundations of coup d’états, their impact on the political systems of the centers, semi-periphery and periphery.
The lecturer paid special attention to the analysis of historical examples, in particular the coup d’état of Augusto Pinochet in Chile in 1973, and their impact on political systems of various types – totalitarian, authoritarian, democratic and clan-oligarchic.
The audience actively participated in the discussion, asking questions about the role of external factors in coup d’états and their long-term consequences. The lively discussion testified to the high level of interest of students and teachers in this topic, as well as the need for further study of political processes in a global context.
Such lectures are an important element of the educational process, as they contribute to the formation of critical thinking and understanding of complex political phenomena.
