“Ukrainian Traditional Jewelry: The Path of Beauty”

On February 15, a unique exhibition “Ukrainian Traditional Jewelry: The Path of Beauty” was held at the Lubny Museum of Local Lore named after G. Ya. Stelletsky.

The author of the exhibition was Tamara Biriukova, a craftswoman and journalist for the newspaper Visnyk. The event brought together fans of folk art, including students and employees of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University.

Tamara Biriukova immersed guests in the world of traditional Ukrainian jewelry, told about the history of ancient ethnic accessories and their symbolism. The craftswoman presented her own modern interpretations of national jewelry, combining traditions with new creative trends.

A special part of the event was a master class, during which everyone who wanted to could create bracelets in the traditional style with their own hands. Each participant took home their product as a memento of the inspiring atmosphere and cultural journey into the world of Ukrainian beauty.

Such events help not only to preserve national traditions, but also to popularize folk art, inspiring creativity and self-expression. Representatives of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University gained invaluable experience and pleasant impressions from meeting with art, which from generation to generation transmits the spirit of Ukrainian culture.

During the event, the university staff told the creative interested participants of the exhibition about the Educational and Research Institute of Arts, focusing on the departments of design, fine and decorative and applied arts. The guests of the event learned about the opportunities for education, creative directions that the university is developing, and the prospects for professional growth in the field of art.
