All-Ukrainian Student Olympiad in Information Technologies

On February 8, the ER IMIT took part in the 3rd (regional) stage of the All-Ukrainian Student Olympiad in Information Technologies with the participation of schoolchildren from the Luhansk region.

At the beginning of the competition, Hennadii Mohylnyi, Director of the Institute of Mathematics and Information Technologies, Candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor, Chairman of the Jury, addressed the students-participants of the Olympiad with motivational words, emphasizing personal responsibility, academic integrity, compliance with the conditions for conducting and participating in intellectual competitions.

The participants of the Olympiad were greeted by the jury members Volodymyr Donchenko – Deputy Director of the ER IMIT, Senior Lecturer, and Mykola Semenov – Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor.

Inna Shakhno, Methodologist of the Department of Natural Sciences of the Luhansk OIPPO, introduced the participants to the features of the Olympiad and the methods of their teaching.

The participants of the Olympiad joined the ZOOM online conference and had the opportunity to ask questions about the conditions of the tasks to the regional jury. The exchange of tasks and solutions to them took place in the virtual Google Сlassroom. The tasks were performed using office applications (MS Office 365).

The Olympiad tasks of the 3rd stage of the All-Ukrainian Olympiad in Information Technologies were focused on the information literacy of students, their intellectual potential, originality and creativity of thinking.
