Conference on Pedagogical Industrial Practice for Master’s Students

On October 7, an introductory conference was held on pedagogical industrial practice for full-time and part-time students majoring in Geography. 

The internship will last 4 weeks on the basis of secondary education institutions.

Pedagogical internship is an important component of the educational process of training masters in the specialty 014.07 “Secondary Education (Geography)” and an important stage in the development of future teachers. It provides an opportunity to consolidate theoretical knowledge gained during training, acquire practical skills for work in school, check psychological readiness for the work of a teacher and master various functional aspects of pedagogical work.

The conference was attended by the head of the internship – Melnyk Iryna Hennadiivna, associate professor of the Department of Chemistry, Geography and Earth Sciences, guarantor of the educational and professional program “Geography” and students. The purpose of the conference was tell the master’s students about the program and features of the internship, discuss organizational issues, and clarify the rights and obligations of students during the internship.

During the conference, an important issue was raised regarding the competencies that should be formed in a teacher in accordance with the Professional Standard “Teacher of a General Secondary Education Institution” (2024). An instruction on safety and labor protection during internship was also conducted.

The teachers of the Department of Chemistry, Geography and Earth Sciences sincerely wish the master’s students to get acquainted with all the intricacies of their chosen profession as best as possible and gain positive practical experience during their internship!
