Meeting with Military Personnel from the Border Detachment

A meeting with military personnel from the 3rd border detachment named after the Hero of Ukraine, Colonel Yevhen Pikus, was organized for the students.
The event was attended by over 170 participants, including teachers and students of the first (bachelor’s) and second (master’s) levels of higher education in the specialties of “Social Work”, “Psychology”, “Primary Education”, “Special Education” and “Preschool Education”.
The event was opened by the Rector, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor Olena Karaman, who expressed gratitude to the military personnel of the border detachment for protecting the territorial integrity of our country and emphasized the importance of cooperation between the university and the military, which is extremely valuable, as it contributes to the formation of civic consciousness, responsibility and respect of students for the defenders of Ukraine.
A representative of the 3rd border detachment named after the Hero of Ukraine, Colonel Yevhen Pikus, familiarized the participants with the problems that arose in the Luhansk border detachment during the invasion of the aggressor; with the heroic feats of servicemen during the repelling of enemy attacks; revealed the advantages of contract service; invited to join the detachment and undergo military service under a contract for the protection and defense of our country.
At the end of the meeting, the participants had the opportunity to ask questions to the speaker and thank the military for their dedication and courage, and also expressed support for the defenders of Ukraine.
Such events are an important element of the national-patriotic education of youth, as they contribute to the formation of an active civic position, readiness to defend the state and awareness of the role of each in the joint struggle for independence.
