Defense of Qualification Works

The defense of the qualification theses of the master’s students of the educational programs “Tourism and Recreation” and “Hotel and Restaurant Business” took place.

On January 25, 2025, the Department of Professional Education, Restaurant and Tourism Business of the Educational and Research Institute of Technologies and Trade held defenses of qualification theses of master’s students of full-time and part-time forms of study in the specialties:
– 241 “Hotel and Restaurant Business” under the educational program “Hotel and Restaurant Business”
– 242 “Tourism and Recreation” under the educational and professional program “Tourism and Recreation”.

The qualification theses of the master’s students were devoted to solving complex specialized tasks and practical problems in the field of hotel, restaurant and tourism business.

The students presented the results of scientific research on the following issues: development of tourism at the national and regional levels, including in the Poltava region during the war and post-war periods; development of the infrastructure of the tourism and hotel business in various regions of Ukraine; accessibility of services in hotel and restaurant and tourism business establishments for guests with disabilities; development of a strategy for environmentally responsible development of the hotel and restaurant business; integration of social responsibility into the management of the hotel and restaurant business and other strategic areas of development and management of enterprises in the tourism and recreation sector as well as hotel and restaurant business.

The commission positively assessed the research results published by future specialists in the tourism and hospitality sector and noted the appropriate level of mastery of general scientific, special and professional skills in applying various methods of substantiating scientific results of a theoretical and praxeological nature, possession of appropriate competencies necessary for analyzing the activities of entities in the tourism and recreation sector and hotel and restaurant business.

We believe that the professional activities of master’s students in fulfilling the complex tasks and challenges that have arisen before the hotel, restaurant and tourism business will contribute to the joint victory of Ukraine in the war and its post-war reconstruction!
