Public discussion of projects of educational programs at the Department of Literary Studies, Oriental Philology and Translation.
The guarantors of the educational programs “Language and Literature (Chinese, English)”, “Language and Literature (Japanese, English)” and “Translation (English and a second foreign language (Chinese))” held a meeting with students, teachers and stakeholders
On December 18, 2024, a traditional meeting dedicated to improving educational programs was held at the Educational and Research Institute of Philology and Journalism. Guarantors of educational programs, Malakhova Y. (“Language and Literature (Japanese, English)”), Perova S. (“Translation (English and a second foreign language (Chinese)”) and Perepadia D. familiarized all interested parties with proposals for changes to the programs in 2025.
Besides students and teachers, the meeting was attended by M. Kravchenko, Acting Head of the Department of Quality Management of Educational Activities of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University, as well as stakeholders who take an active part in the process of improving and implementing relevant educational programs: S. Shamshura (IT company OSGA) and O. Pokatilova (travel agency “Deluxe-Voyage”).
The guarantors of the programs reported that in accordance with the order of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine No. 842 dated 06/13/2024 “On Amendments to Certain Standards of Higher Education” in the higher education standard for the specialty 035 Philology of the field of knowledge “Humanities” for the first (bachelor’s) level of higher education, the item “Ability to make decisions and act, adhering to the principle of inadmissibility of corruption and any other manifestations of dishonesty” was added to the list of general competencies of all three presented projects.
In addition, the guarantors proposed for consideration and discussion a number of other proposals related to the improvement and implementation of educational programs, for which they proposed to take a small survey. A lively discussion also took place, where everyone had the opportunity to express their opinion and voice their own proposals.
