During the first semester of the academic year 2024-2025, students of the Romance & Germanic Philology Department actively participated in language courses within the framework of the English4Ukraine project.
This type of non-formal education aims to improve the level of English language proficiency and communication skills in the professional sphere.
The course curriculum was developed by leading language training specialists, considering modern teaching methods and the specifics of the Ukrainian context. Participants had access to interactive materials, practical exercises, and live communication with native speakers.
Yaromyr Fundukian, a second-year student (lecturer N.F. Khairulina), completed the course ‘Business Speaking: Intermediate & Upper Intermediate’ (60 hours).
Tetiana Sidenko, a second-year student (lecturer N.F. Khairulina), completed the “English for Hospitality” course.
Amina Korshykova, a first-year student (lecturer N.F. Khairulina), has mastered the course “Academic English B1: Reading, Listening, Writing and Speaking” (75 hours).
Ivanna Mikhno, a first-year student (lecturer N.F. Khairulina), mastered the “IELTS A2-B2: Reading, Listening, Writing, and Speaking” course.
Particular attention was paid to expanding the vocabulary for professional communication, developing academic writing and public speaking skills, and practicing discussions on topical issues.
The results of the courses’ participation confirm the students’ high level of interest in self-development and their motivation to integrate into the global scientific and educational space.
We are grateful to the organizers of English4Ukraine for this unique opportunity to improve language competencies and promote students’ professional development.
