Non-Formal Education of Future Translators

First-year master’s degree students in the specialty 035 Philology under the educational program «Germanic Languages and Literatures (including Translation), First – English. Translation» at the Educational and Scientific Institute of Philology and Journalism, including Viktor VORONOV (scientific supervisor – Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor Svitlana PEROVA), actively participate in activities aimed at enhancing their knowledge, skills, and competencies.
During the first semester of the 2024–2025 academic year, Viktor Voronov attended a number of events and received corresponding certificates of participation:
- Participated as a listener in Young Scientists’ School, Week 2.
- Attended a series of lectures on the integration of AI into education organized by NUFVSU, including «Strengthening Ukrainian Higher Education: Navigating the AI Revolution in Teaching and Learning» and «Generative Artificial Intelligence and Education: Opportunities and Challenges».
- Took part in the IV All-Ukrainian Scientific and Practical Conference «Innovative Practices in Scientific Education» (Kyiv, Ukraine).
- Joined a scientific round table titled «21st Century Science: Challenges, Problems, and Perspectives» and presented a report on «Translating Cultural Realities in O. Henry’s Works».
- Participated in the online forum «Creativity and Mental Health».
Additionally, Viktor completed several courses and professional development programs, earning certificates of participation:
- Online course «Stress Management for Educators».
- Course «Academic Integrity: Online Course for Educators».
- Course «Financial Literacy for Educators».
- Course «Getting Started with ChatGPT».
- Online course «Case Management in Social Work».
- Professional development program «Digital Educator».
- Online course «Exam Strategies from A to Z».
The active engagement of Viktor Voronov in events and courses focused on professional competency development reflects his commitment to lifelong learning and self-improvement.
