Creative Writing

On December 14, 2024, Yevheniia Stpenovych, a first-year student of the second master’s degree in education, specialty 014 Secondary Education, educational program “English Language and Foreign Literature” (academic adviser – Nailia Khairulina), took part in the English-language webinar “Creative Writing: Getting your Teens to Write with Pleasure”.

The event was dedicated to improving creative writing skills and aimed at developing creative thinking, which is important for future professionals in various fields.

The webinar covered the following key topics

– basics of creative writing: styles, genres and techniques;

– practical exercises to develop imagination and writing talent;

– effective ways to overcome ‘creative stagnation’;

– tips on creating quality texts for a modern audience.

In addition to the lecture, the webinar included interactive tasks allowing participants to practice their knowledge. Particularly interesting were the exercises on creating short stories on given topics, which helped to expand the creative potential.

Yevheniia Stepanovych noted that participating in the event was a valuable experience for her personal and professional development. The skills acquired during the webinar will be helpful in her academic work and future qualification work on the topic “Development of Creativity and Linguistic Competences of Senior School Students through Teaching Creative Writing in English”.

The applicant expressed her gratitude to the event organizers for the opportunity to participate in such an interesting and productive event.
