Roundtable with Serhii Hlotov

On December 11, a roundtable meeting with Serhii Hlotov was held at the Matviy Nomis First Gymnasium on the initiative of the ER INAS.

Serhii Hlotov is a member of the Scientific Council of the Luhansk Regional Organization of the All-Ukrainian Ecological League, a junior researcher at the State Museum of Natural History of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and the Luhansk Nature Reserve of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, an entomologist, a senior lecturer at the Department of Landscape Gardening and Ecology Serhii Volodymyrovych told the audience about his public and scientific activities. He also spoke about how he became a participant in the 27th and 28th Ukrainian Antarctic expeditions and ended up at the Akademik Vernadsky station, and what unique research was conducted there. He spoke about his photo exhibition, which all those present had already had the opportunity to visit, about the photos he took, through which the polar explorer is trying to introduce Ukrainians and the world to the amazing nature and landscapes of Antarctica.

Serhii Hlotov called on the students to develop comprehensively, improve their skills and abilities, and study hard, because even the selection for participation in the Antarctic expedition is very demanding.

At the end of the meeting, the scientist was asked comprehensive questions, which he willingly answered and gave examples from his personal life and scientific research.

All participants of the round table thanked Mr. Serhii for the informative story and expressed hope for further communication and cooperation with him, wishing him success in the scientific field and many discoveries.
