International Human Rights Day

On December 9, the Lysychansk Pedagogical College of LTSNU traditionally celebrated the International Human Rights Day, which falls on December 10 every year.

This year, as part of this important holiday, an information and educational hour was organized, aimed at forming legal awareness among students and increasing their awareness in the field of human rights.

The main goal of the event was to explain fundamental human rights and freedoms, their importance in society and the role of every citizen in their protection. The organizers sought to draw students’ attention to the issues of justice, equality, non-discrimination and the importance of respecting human rights as the basis for building a democratic society.

To visualize the topic, the participants were shown short videos dedicated to successful stories of the struggle for human rights in different countries. This aroused lively interest and became an occasion for further discussion.

After the lecture, the students took part in a practical session, where they analyzed real-life situations related to human rights violations and jointly sought ways to solve them.

The event received positive feedback from the participants. Students noted that this form of training allows them to better understand complex legal aspects and realize their importance in everyday life. Teachers emphasized that such events contribute to the formation of civic responsibility and legal culture among young people.

Special attention was paid to the fact that human rights are not only abstract concepts, but also a practical tool for solving many social problems. Thanks to this event, students enriched their knowledge, which will contribute to their further professional and personal realization.

Holding an information and educational hour became an important stage in the socio-humanitarian work of the pedagogical college, emphasizing the need to protect and observe human rights. Such initiatives are an integral part of the formation of an educated, conscious and active generation of citizens.
