International Mobility of Applicants of the Department of Romance & Germanic Philology

The international mobility of students of the Department of Romance and Germanic Philology is an integral part of the educational process.
It contributes to students’ professional growth, the implementation of key competencies of the educational program, and integration into the global educational space. Participation in international programs, academic exchanges, research internships, and language schools ensures the formation of intercultural communication and the development of academic and professional competencies.
The applicants of the Department of Romance & Germanic Philology of the Educational and Research Institute of Philology & Journalism., specialty 014.023 “Secondary Education. Language and Foreign Literature (French, English)” – Diana Shchyhol and Ruslana Hlatkevych – from 10.11.24 to 30.11.24 implemented academic student mobility by participating in an internship in Vichy in France.
In the academic groups to which they were assigned, Diana and Ruslana, after passing a test to determine their level of French, developed their competencies in all types of language activities: reading, speaking, listening and writing, socio-cultural competence and soft skills: the ability to work in a team, manage their time, emotional intelligence, etc.
The trainees studied a practical course in French and practical grammar, honed their skills, and developed their abilities in various ateliers.
During the internship, the students studied French intensively and had fun in their leisure time, including a visit to Paris and a tour of French cultural and artistic attractions.
The internship occurred at the CAVILAM—ALLIANCE FRANCAISE youth center and was open to young people learning French from different countries. According to the students, this opportunity to visit France and learn French there was a bright and unforgettable experience for them, which will positively impact their further studies at university and employment.
The department’s priority remains to develop cooperation with international partners and increase student involvement in mobility programs.
