Participation in the International Online Event

Lecturers of the Department of Professional Education, Restaurant and Tourism Business took part in an international online event dedicated to World Volunteer Day.
The topic of the event was Solidarity as the basis of resilience and social cohesion of Ukrainian society in conditions of war and post-war recovery.
The aim of the event was to provide a wide range of stakeholders with the transfer of innovative Italian experience in peacekeeping and security education and the presentation of the experience gained by Ukrainian HEIs during wartime in the context of building solidarity interaction at the local, regional, national and international levels.
The following issues were considered at the conference:
- The role of higher education institutions in the formation of values of solidarity interaction.
- A university that forms values and is formed by values.
- Italy’s experience in interdisciplinary and innovative training and research on conflict and peace issues through a national doctoral degree in “peace studies”.
- The social mission of the university in international partnership: educational diplomacy of the university.
- Analysis of cultural and value behavior of students in the conditions of crisis challenges of war.
- The role of the academic community in supporting society in times of war: volunteer initiatives and achievements.
- The role of higher education in forming a young scientific community as the future of Ukraine.
- Forming a community of financially literate citizens: the role of volunteers and educational initiatives.
- The role of solidarity interaction in restoring tourism and community resilience in times of war and post-war reconstruction.
- The state and prospects for the development of national solidarity and volunteer tourism in Ukraine during war and post-war times.
- Solidarity tourism in the activities of the Association of Inbound Tour Operators of Ukraine and travel companies.
- Popularization of Ukraine as a tourist destination in the context of solidarity and volunteer tourism.
- Social interaction on the example of tours for mothers and wives of deceased, captured and missing servicemen.
- Solidarity interaction as the basis of a solidarity social economy to increase the resilience of Ukrainian communities.
- Principles of a solidarity social economy in Ukraine: challenges and prospects.
- Solidarity – social innovations as an important component of community development.
- From farming to volunteering.
- Local products as the basis of the economic, educational and solidarity vector of community development.
- The Kiev cuisine restaurant Glek as an example of solidarity business in war conditions.
