A round table was held on “Challenges and Prospects for Training Social Sector Specialists When Transitioning to the “Healthcare and Social Security” sector.”

On December 4, 2024, at the initiative of the Department of Social Security of the Cherkasy State Technological University, a round table “Challenges and Prospects for Training Social Sector Specialists in the Transition to the “Healthcare and Social Security” Industry” was held.

The purpose of the meeting was to discuss current issues and tasks to be addressed in the near future by the efforts of HEIs that implement educational programs in the field of knowledge 23 “Social Work”, in the context of the transformation of its name into “Healthcare and Social Security”.

Representatives of most higher education institutions that train applicants for 231 “Social Work” and 232 “Social Security” were involved in the work of the round table.

Representatives of the Social Pedagogy Department, as well as guarantors of the educational programs “Social Work. Social Pedagogy. Practical Psychology” of the first (bachelor’s) and second (master’s) levels of higher education Yaroslava YURKIV and Olena KARAMAN took part in the event.

The guarantors of educational programs had the opportunity to exchange views on identifying the main challenges in the training of social sphere specialists when transitioning to the “Healthcare and Social Security” sector.

This meeting was an important step towards the formation of strategies for adapting educational programs and improving the quality of training specialists who are able to work effectively in changed conditions.
