Interregional Scientific and Methodological Seminar on Primary Education

On November 28, the Primary Education Department of the ER IPP held an interregional scientific and methodological seminar , “Formation of the Personality of a Junior School Student: Modern Approaches to the Organization of the Educational Process in National Schools.”
The purpose of the seminar is to inform a wide range of scientists and practitioners, students of pedagogical education about the existing modern issues of teaching methods of educational branches in primary school; to establish contacts and establish scientific and professional ties between specialists of educational institutions of Ukraine; to involve participants in the discussion of current problems of Ukrainian education in wartime.
The event was attended by teachers and students majoring in “Primary Education” of the Lysychansk Pedagogical Professional College, Starobilsk Professional College, Professional College of LTSNU, students of the first (bachelor’s) and second (master’s) levels, teachers-practitioners of the Lubny urban community (Poltava region), the Chornomorsk territorial urban community (Odesa region), the Dolyna urban territorial community (Ivano-Frankivsk region).
During the seminar, presentations of scientific research by the department’s teachers on the development of critical thinking in primary school students (“Three Whales of Critical Thinking” – Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor Maria Pochinkova), a review of modern literature for primary school children (“Latest Ukrainian Literature for Children in the Context of a Reading Development Strategy” – Doctor of Philology, Professor Vitalina Kyzylova), attention will be paid to the formation of reading competence of secondary school students using multimedia technologies (“Features of Reader Formation in the Digital Age” – Candidate of Philology, Associate Professor Oksana Tsalapova).
Practical experience in organizing the educational process in the New Ukrainian School was presented by the primary school teacher of Dolyna Lyceum No. 6 “European” Valentyna Bubenko, and interactive teaching technologies in the New Ukrainian School were also presented by the head of the professional community of primary school teachers, primary school teacher of Dolyna Lyceum No. 5, specialist of the highest category, teacher-methodologist Oksana Fediv. Karina Bezlyudko and Oleksandra Hanuskova, second (master’s) level higher education students, spoke about the integration of Ukrainian children in a foreign-language educational environment in the Republic of Poland and Germany.
Teachers-practitioners of the First Gymnasium named after M. Nomis, Gymnasium named after Hero of Ukraine Vira Roik of Lubny City Council of Poltava Region – Tetiana Turova, Tetiana Mysnyk, Tetiana Yarmolenko, Alla Pogribna, Oksana Ushkan, Alina Parista, Svitlana Sabadash, Halyna Kurylchuk and others.
Scientific and methodological work should not stop even in difficult times of military operations in our country. We look forward to further professional cooperation from primary school teachers!
