The Days of Japanese Language and Culture have kicked off at the Department of Literary Studies, Eastern Philology, and Translation, together with the Youth Club of Eastern Cultures at Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University.
On November 23, 2024, the Department of Literary Studies, Eastern Philology, and Translation, along with the Youth Club of Eastern Cultures at the State Institution “Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University,” launched the Days of Japanese Language and Culture.
The first day of the event was dedicated to the Japanese language. The highlight of the day was a conversational workshop led by volunteer teacher Mr. Iori Ohira.
Participants had the unique opportunity to meet Mr. Iori, share their hobbies, and learn many fascinating details about the world of anime. During the interaction, Mr. Iori shared his impressions of living in Ukraine, which sparked genuine interest among the audience.
The guarantor of the educational program, Associate Professor Yulia Volodymyrivna Malakhova, actively assisted students during their interaction with the native speaker, fostering better understanding and creating a relaxed atmosphere. Her support was an essential element in the successful organization of the event.
We sincerely thank Mr. Iori Ohira for his active participation in the conversational workshop and his heartfelt support for Ukraine and the Ukrainian people. Your contribution to fostering intercultural dialogue and spreading knowledge about the Japanese language and culture is extremely valuable to our community.
