Partner Visit to the City of Dolyna

On November 21-22, 2024, the head of the Academic Council, VitaliI KURYLO, and the rector, Olena KARAMAN, paid an official visit to the city of Dolyna, Ivano-Frankivsk region, within the framework of the Memorandum of Cooperation with the Dolyna City Council.

The two-day program of the visit included several events:

  • Participation in the session of the Dolyna City Council on the issue of renting premises for the University Consulting Center in the city of Dolyna.
  • Presentation of student tickets to first-year university students at various educational levels (junior bachelor, bachelor, master).
  • Participation in the educational forum “Educational Focus: at the Intersection of Experience and Inspiration”.
  • Visit to the Stepan Bandera Museum-Estate.
  • Meeting with the center of residents of the Luhansk region in the Dolyna territorial community.

All events took place within the framework of the Memorandum of Cooperation with the Dolyna City Council, signed on March 25, 2024.

The events were attended by the Chairman of the Dolyna City Council Ivan Dyriv, Deputy Chairmen Ivan Pastukh and Yaroslav Bakalya, Head of the Education Department of the Dolyna City Council Ihor Saiko.

The delegation from the university was represented by the chairman of the Academic Council Vitalii KURYLO, rector Olena KARAMAN, chairman of the commission for social and humanitarian work Vira PUSHKO, director of the Lysychansk Pedagogical Professional College Oksana BEIZ, head of the Journalism Department Artem HALYCH, associate professor of the Journalism Department Olha KUTSEVSKA, and assistant professor of the Primary Education Department Ninel PRAVOVA.

From the Luhansk diaspora in the city of Dolyna, the events were attended by the chairman of the Severodonetsk district council of the Luhansk region Volodymyr PROKOPENKO and university graduate, director of the NGO “Civic Corps” in the Luhansk region Olena STETSENKO.

The central event of the visit was the ceremonial presentation of student cards to 200 first-year students who entered the university in 2024 at various educational levels.

The educational forum “Educational Focus: At the Intersection of Experience and Inspiration” with the participation of the finalists of the National Award Global Teacher Prize Ukraine 2024 Oleksandr DUMYSHYNTS, Tetiana TKACH, the winner of the “Chemistry Teacher” nomination Larisa ROMANISHYN, the winner of the National Award “Global Teacher Prize Ukraine 2024”, as well as the nomination “Choice of Ukrainians” Lesya PAVLYUK was also bright. The forum was held in the shrine of Ivano-Frankivsk region – the Goshiv Monastery on Yasna Gora.

At the meeting of the city council session, the deputies voted to lease the premises for the Consulting Center of LTSNU in the city of Dolyna.

The excursion to the Stepan Bandera Museum-Estate was incredibly informative.

All participants of the events expressed satisfaction with the cooperation between the Dolyna City Council and the university and the desire to continue it in educational, scientific and socio-cultural activities. In particular, the proposal to locate one of the university’s professional colleges in the city of Dolyna for the education of the youth of the Dolyna community was discussed.
