Student Initiation Ceremony

The Student Initiation Ceremony took place at Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University, the city of Dolyna. 

The event was attended by honored guests: the head of the Dolyna City Council – Ivan Dyriv; the Rector of LTSNU, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor, Honored Worker of Education of Ukraine – Olena Karaman; the First Vice-Rector of LTSNU, Head of the Academic Council, Academician of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor, Honored Worker of Education of Ukraine – Vitalii Kurylo; the deputy mayors – Ivan Pastukh, Yaroslav Bakaliar, the head of the Educational Department of the Dolyna City Council – Ihor Saiko; the director of the Lysychansk College – Oksana Beis; teachers of educational and research institutes: pedagogy and psychology, philology and journalism. From the Dolyna Council of IDPs was the head of the Severodonetsk District Council of the Luhansk region. Volodymyr Prokopenko, head of the public volunteer organization “Civic Corps” in Luhansk region, director of the Dolyna Museum “Residence of Angels” – Olena Stetsenko; teachers and graduates of the 11th grades of the “Scientific” Lyceum.

The head of the Dolyna City Council, the rector of the university, and the first vice-rector presented the first-year students with student cards. The university anthem was played for everyone. The friendly university ‘family’ watched a film about the educational activities of the university.

Lyceum students congratulated the first-year university students and guests on the holiday and performed Ukrainian songs.

The university’s teaching staff, despite the war, difficulties and trials, contributes to the development of the education system in the Precarpathian region and continues to train specialists in various specialties.
