Presentation of Student Cards

Today, an important event took place in Dolyna – the ceremonial presentation of student cards to first-year students of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University.

This event was made possible thanks to the cooperation agreement that the Dolyna City Council signed with the university in March of this year.

The Vice-Rector and Chairman of the Academic Council Vitalii KURYLO spoke about the difficult history of the establishment of the institution, its principled pro-Ukrainian position and dedication to national interests.

Because of these values, the University moved to the territory controlled by Ukraine in 2014, after the beginning of the occupation, together with the majority of the teaching staff, continuing to teach students in the Poltava region.

The results of our cooperation are already visible – a consultation point of the University has been opened in Dolyna, and the first applicants today officially became students of this institution, having received their student cards.

Together with the Rector of LTSNU, Olena KARAMAN, and the Chairman of the Academic Council, Vitalii KURYLO, we presented them with these important certificates.

Let me say in advance that we are developing new areas of cooperation. During the meeting with the University management, the possibility of opening professional colleges in Dolyna was discussed.

I personally see such an idea as possible for implementation. This will allow expanding the educational opportunities of the community, encouraging young people to stay in their hometown and creating conditions for their professional development.
