Record is Broken

A historic event for Ukraine, Ukrainian sports and the Federation of the Strongest Athletes of Ukraine and tug of war! Record has been broken!

Official confirmation of breaking the record from the Guinness Book of World Records in the Truck pull exercise has arrived, which the Ukrainian national team in the strength athletics consisting of: Oleksandr Dubovoi, Dmytro Hrunskyi, Dmytro Iholkin, Volodymyr Savostianov successfully performed on November 7, 2024. The record of the record attempt and accompanying documents were submitted to the Guinness Book of World Records commission on the same day to establish the authenticity of this achievement.

Volodymyr Savostianov is a second-level master’s student majoring in 017 “Physical Culture and Sports” of the Educational and Research Institute of Health and Sports, and Dmytro Iholkin is a graduate of the ER IHCS. Both athletes are members of the Ukrainian national team in strength athletics and participants in hostilities.

We also remind you that the athletes are training under the guidance of Oleksandr DUBOVOI – Master of Sports of Ukraine of international class in strength athletics and Master of Sports in powerlifting, record holder of Ukraine, Europe and the world, member of the national team of Ukraine in strength athletics, four-time world champion as part of the team, bronze medalist of the 2019 World Championship, seven-time European champion in the team event, international judge, director of the Educational and Research Institute of Health and Sports of LTSNU, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor.
