1000 Days of Ukrainian Invincibility

November 19, 2024 is a sad and tragic date in our Ukrainian history. On this day 1000 days have passed since the Russian state began its war against the Ukrainian people on February 24, 2022.

But is it 1000 days or more than 10 years? The answer to this question was sought by teachers and students of the Professional College and Starobilsk Professional College of LTSNU during the round table “1000 Years of Ukrainian Invincibility” held by the history teacher Oleksandr Mykolaiovych Karpenko.

Three families of Lubny residents who were not spared by the war of the Putin regime were invited to the meeting. They spoke about what they had experienced, what they had seen, their own experiences and the great tragedy that has now engulfed our Ukrainian society. Two years of war passed differently for these families.

The director of the Professional College, Natalia Viktorivna Motunova, spoke about their experiences in the city of Starobilsk, about how the Russian military captured the city and the educational institution, about the difficult evacuation path and about arriving in Lubny and organizing the work of the colleges. This is not only the story of one’s own life, but also the story of an educational institution that has already experienced its second restoration.

All this was experienced, passed, all this hurt, and the guests shared about it. It was not easy to go through it. But it was passed. It was passed with faith in tomorrow. In our happy and victorious future. Everyone must hold their own front of struggle in the conditions of the present. Only under the condition of our own unity will we have a happy tomorrow. The strength of our people is unity.

The participants of the round table honored the fallen Lubny residents in this exhausting war on the Alley of Glory. Flowers were laid at the portraits of the heroes. A minute of silence became a tribute and respect for all the innocently killed compatriots in the Russian-Ukrainian war.
