Meeting with a Consultant on Global Leadership

The Department of Philosophy and Sociology held a meeting with a consultant on global leadership in various business sectors.

On November 14, at the invitation of the Department of Philosophy and Sociology, a meeting was held with Birgitte Bang from Denmark, a consultant on global leadership in various business sectors (construction, transport, logistics, and fashion), author of books on climate change and the art of transforming business into a socially and environmentally responsible one. Birgitte is familiar with Ukraine, because for some time, before the war, she was a consultant to an industrial enterprise in the Zaporizhia region.

She gave a report “The art of leading human diversity”, during which she presented her books, which are dedicated to the problem of global leadership and its role in preserving the planet and solving global problems of humanity, in particular climate change. Birgitte noted that environmental security is relevant and there is no time to delay. Despite the refusal of the Danish government to support innovative ideas for preserving the planet, Birgitte is looking for new ways to spread her ideas through the University of Latvia and US universities.

Birgitte Bang emphasized the need for joint efforts to implement global leadership tools to initiate changes in large industrial business, educational technologies and public authorities.

Anyone could join the event, but for students of the Educational and Research Institute of Social and Humanitarian Sciences, live communication with an international expert in geopolitics and security was especially valuable.
