The Regional Scientific-Practical Conference

On April 22, the Department of Choreography of the Institute of Culture and Arts hosted the XI Regional Scientific-Practical Conference.
The XI Regional Scientific-Practical Conference “Creative Pursuits in Arts and Art Education: Tradition, Modernity and Perspectives” was attended by leading academics, students and master students of LNU, scientists from the universities of Poltava, Berdyansk, Ivano-Frankivsk, Severodonetsk as well as professional choreographers.
The conference participants focused on the theoretical aspects of contemporary artistic culture, current artistic and aesthetic education and upbringing of young people by means of choreography, examined ways of choreographic art in the twentieth century.
The report of Ph.D., assistant professor of the Department of Choreography of Poltava V. Korolenko National Pedagogical University M.M. Pogrebnyak aroused lively interest. The author presented her own monograph devoted to the historical evolution of modern dance.
The participants actively discussed the report of Doctor of Philosophy, Professor, Head of the Department of Philosophy of East Ukrainian Volodymyr Dahl National University O.M. Yeremenko devoted to current events in the Donbass in the light of the theory of Aristotle’s tragedy.
The report of the fourth year student of the Institute of Culture and Arts of LTSNU Liliya Udodenko was very interesting (The scientific adviser is the head of the Choreography Department of the ICA, PhD, associate professor K.O. Irdynenko).
The conference ended with the presentation of practical experience in the theory and methods of teaching classical, folk theatrical, ballroom, modern dance choreography by the teachers of the Department of Choreography of the Institute of Culture and Arts.
Students presented their work in the genre of historical and domestic dance (teaching class of T.I. Vilhovchenko, concertmaster is O.A Ponomarenko), folk stage dance (teaching class of M.S. Kharchenko, concertmasters are V.V.Semenenko, Y.Y .Harchenko), ballroom choreography (master students V.Liskiv and V.Hryschenko), jazz dance (teaching class of Y.V. Konyuk).
The conference participants and guests enjoyed bright dances performed by students-choreographers. The level of their mastery appreciated by professionals and amateurs of dance.
