1000 Days of Invasion
19.11.2024
November 19, 2024 marks 1000 days since the beginning of the Russian Federation’s criminal full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
For 1000 days, Ukrainians, thanks to their resilience, courage and incredible unity, have been holding their defense and demonstrating the will to defeat the enemy. 1000 days of indomitability, pain, tears, and losses of the Ukrainian people…
On this day, the Brianka Professional College of LTSNU hosted a patriotic-themed event “We have not been conquered for 1000 days and will not be conquered…”
During the event, they remembered that sad day, February 24, 2022, which was forever etched in the new Ukrainian history. As in the first hours of the war, Russian missiles attacked Ukrainian airfields and military facilities throughout Ukraine. The next objects of Russian missile attacks and airstrikes were peaceful Ukrainian cities and villages – residential and maternity homes, hospitals, kindergartens, schools, churches, and civilian infrastructure facilities. They recalled the events that took place during the 1000 days.
The college director, Honored Worker of Culture of Ukraine Mykhailo Sapizhak, gave a motivational speech, telling why it is important to remember the events of these days and why the contribution of every citizen to the common cause is so necessary.
The presentation, which was viewed by the students, called for a sense of pride for the country and its heroic people, a sense of unity, support, and responsibility for the future of the country. It is in the struggle that we protect not only our lands, but also the right to national identity, language, history, and culture.
With a minute of silence, all those present honored the memory of the fallen soldiers who gave their lives for our future.
We endured – we will win!
