Trying to Beat the Record

On November 7, 2024, the national team of Ukraine consisting of Oleksandr Dubovoi, Dmytro Grunskyi, Dmytro Iholkin, and Volodymyr Savostianov made a successful attempt to break the record of the Guinness Book of Records in the Truck pull exercise!

A historic event for Ukraine, Ukrainian sports and the Federation of the Strongest Athletes of Ukraine and tug-of-war! The recording of the record attempt and the accompanying documents were submitted to the Guinness Book of Records commission to establish the authenticity of this achievement.

All three athletes are training under the leadership of Oleksandr DUBOVOI – master of sports of Ukraine of international class and master of sports in powerlifting, record holder of Ukraine, Europe and the world, member of the national team of Ukraine, four-time world champion as part of the team, bronze medalist of the world championship 2019, seven-time European champion in the team event, judge of the international category, director of the Educational and Research Institute of Health Care and Sports of LTSNU, candidate of pedagogical sciences, associate professor.

We wish our athletes success and hope to confirm this achievement as soon as possible.
