Formation of Academic Integrity of Students

The leading librarian of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University held a meeting on the formation of academic integrity of students.
On November 7, 2024, an informational meeting with Oksana SHEVCHIK, the leading librarian of LTSNU, was held for master’s students majoring in 231 “Social Work” under the educational program “Social Work. Social Pedagogy. Practical Psychology”. The topic of the meeting was “Academic Integrity in Higher Education Institutions”.
The lecturer provided the master’s students with information about the main principles of academic integrity in higher education institutions, as well as the importance of observing ethical standards in scientific research and education. Ms. Oksana talked about the types of academic dishonesty, such as plagiarism, fabrication, falsification of data, self-plagiarism, unfair review of transcripts and bribery. She also provided recommendations for using library resources for writing research papers, emphasizing the importance of properly formatted references and sources.
The meeting ended with a discussion of practical steps to follow the principles of academic integrity and the importance of this approach for the professional growth of future social work professionals. According to the results, all participants received certificates.
