Participation of the ERIP&J Teachers in an Online Webinar
12.11.2024
Teachers of the Departments of Romance & Germanic Philology and Foreign Languages took part in a specialized webinar on the peculiarities of preparing and publishing scientific articles in the Scopus database.
This is an essential event because indexing works in international scientific databases such as Scopus is a significant step towards recognizing the research of Ukrainian scientists at the global level.
The webinar discussed various organizational aspects, including research planning for the preparation of publications, journal selection, and specifics of article structure and references. The lecturers also learned about the critical requirements that articles must meet to be accepted for publication. Particular attention was paid to practical aspects that contribute to increasing the citation of papers, such as creating clear and engaging abstracts, selecting keywords, and adhering to academic writing standards.
The webinar organizers provided valuable advice on avoiding common mistakes when submitting materials to Scopus journals. They also discussed the issues of practical cooperation with reviewers and ways to improve manuscripts based on the feedback received. Participants gained access to valuable tools and resources that greatly facilitated preparing scientific publications and improving their quality.
The experience gained during the webinar will undoubtedly be helpful to our teachers. It will allow them to prepare articles for international scientific journals more efficiently and contribute to improving the department’s scientific activity in general. We hope that participation in such events will continue to increase the number of our scientists’ publications in prestigious international journals.
