Agricultural Sciences and Food: Traditions, Problems and Perspectives

A meeting of the “Agrarian Sciences and Food: Traditions, Problems and Perspectives” section was held as part of the 5th International Scientific and Practical Conference “Natural Sciences: Projects, Research, Prospects”. 

On November 7, 2024, a meeting of the “Agrarian Sciences and Food: Traditions, Problems and Perspectives” section was held as part of the 5th International Scientific and Practical Conference “NATURAL SCIENCES: PROJECTS, RESEARCH AND PERSPECTIVES”. The teachers of the Department of Biology and Agronomy  as well as the Department of Landscape Gardening and Ecology, students of Agronomy and Landscape Gardening specialties of LTSNU; representatives of research institutions of the Poltava region: Ustimiv Plant Research Station of the Plant Research Institute named after V.Ya. Yuryev of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Research Station of Medicinal Plants of the Institute of Agroecology and Nature Management of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, took part in the meeting. 

During the meeting, topical issues of features of plant growing technologies, variety testing, creation of gene pool, quality of products, greening of village and urban landscapes and others were discussed.

The work of the section was distinguished by a variety of thematic reports, which were devoted to the biodiversity of horticultural crops, genetic aspects of the study of agricultural crops, peculiarities of the technology of growing cereals in conditions of climate change, plant protection, research of product quality. All reports aroused the interest of the listeners and a lively discussion.

The organizers of the conference are sincerely grateful to everyone who joined the work of the section “Agrarian Sciences and Food: Traditions, Problems and Perspectives” and hope for further cooperation.
