Meeting with a Practical Psychologist

On November 4, a meeting with a practical psychologist was held at Lysychansk Pedagogical Professional College.

Probably, there is no such person among us who does not want to be happy. But does everyone know how to achieve this? Each person has his own concept of what happiness is, what is needed to be happy.

In order to find out what happiness is and how to achieve it, on November 4, the Lysychansk Pedagogical Professional College hosted another meeting with practical psychologist Olena Khomych as part of the implementation of a social-emotional training course called “Happiness Lessons”.

During the meeting, students learned about the variety of hormones that are responsible for the state of happiness, ways to overcome stress and tune in to positive thoughts. And they also came to the conclusion that happiness is a feeling of long-term well-being, peace and satisfaction with life. This is what we are all constantly searching for. When we feel happiness even for a second, we want this feeling to remain forever. Happiness does not exist independently of us, and the prerequisites for satisfaction and happiness lie in ourselves, in our efforts. Realizing that without our own efforts we will not be able to achieve success, satisfaction and happiness. Someone who has not understood this will spend his whole life waiting for the moment when fate will give him happiness, instead of focusing all his efforts on achieving some goal and achieving it.

We humans live in a society. We can only thrive together with others. Therefore, to live a happy life, we need to develop kindness, care and compassion for others.
