Time of the Youth of Khmelnytskyi

In October, training was held in the city of Khmelnytskyi under the “Time of the Youth of Khmelnytskyi” project.

The main goal of the project is the formation and support of a sustainable system of social integration and active participation of young people in the public life of the territorial community, through the implementation of comprehensive measures, advocacy initiatives and information campaigns to achieve direct participation of young people in the democratic processes of making important management decisions of local importance, concerning all spheres life activities of young people.

All events were implemented by the Youth Council of Khmelnytskyi within the framework of the “I Have an Opinion” project, which is implemented by the NGO “Youth Platform” with the assistance of the Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) in Ukraine and the financial support of the Norwegian Agency for Development Cooperation (NORAD).

Our institution was presented by the third-year bachelor’s student majoring in 231 “Social Work” under the educational program “Social Work. Social Pedagogy. Practical Psychology” Alona Kuznetsova.

Alona always strives for self-development and professional growth, the confirmation of this is the fact that she is a trainer of the national coaching network (youth component) of the NGO “La Strada Ukraine”, and is also a member of the scientific and methodical center “School of Mediation”, whose activities take place on the basis our university.

Alona KUZNETSOVA’s participation in the “Youth Time of Khmelnytskyi” project not only confirms the importance of an active youth policy, but also demonstrates how one person can influence changes in society. Her example inspires young people to take the initiative into their own hands and become agents of change in their communities.
